Aitutaki Weather
The Aitutaki Weather is determined by its location in the South Pacific Ocean and enjoys a tropical maritime climate without extremes in temperature. Since it has no significant land mass, travellers to Aitutaki can enjoy many cloud-free days.
Temperature. The changes in temperature from one day to the next fluctuates only slightly. There are two main seasons - the cooler, drier winter months of April - October, and the hotter, more humid summer months from November to April. The hotter months of January and February are usually no more than 3 to 4 degrees hotter than the cool season months of June to August, the difference being mainly in the humidity levels. Since the hot season is also the rainy season the higher humidity can make this season feel much hotter. The daily temperatures range from around 18 degrees C (67 F) minimum to 29 degrees C (89 F) maximum depending on the time of year, so visitors can always enjoy a comfortable warm climate.
Rainfall in Cook Islands is higher in the hotter summer months. For example the wet season is November to March and experiences a slightly higher amount of tropical showers than the other months of the year.
Trade Winds The cooling trade winds are from the south-east. In the summer wet season, winds generally approach from the north to north-west.
