Aitutaki Fishing

With 12,500 acres of lagoon, Aitutaki offers both novice and experienced fishing enthusiasts the opportunity of some very enjoyable fishing tours. Fly fishing, lures or bait fishing bring in world-class bonefish, cod, snapper, trevally, hump head maori wrasse and other reef fish. There is a game fishing club (affiliated to the International Game Fishing Association) and visitors are always welcome. Catch Wahoo, yellow fin tuna, Mahi-mahi or the more elusive goal - marlin. For information you can phone the Cook Islands Game Fishing Club on +682 21419.

Whether you are an experienced angler or just want to have a fun day trying your hand, operators of fishing trips in Aitutaki will show you the best. Boats are fully equipped with up-to-date safety gear and can handle between a number of lines (usually 4-6).
