Etu Moana Villas

Etu Moana Villas provides boutique accommodation by the beach for guests wanting a more stylish, private vacation rental in Aitutaki. This is an ideal destination for couples wanting a Cook Islands honeymoon vacation or wedding in this beautiful paradise. Each villa has a king-sized bed facing the lagoon, ceiling fan, airconditioning, kitchen with gas burner cook top, and purified water. Etu Moana is maori for blue starfish, which can be seen when snorkelling. This romantic beachfront hideaway won a Trip Advisor Award in 2006 - 'Best Hidden Gem in the South Pacific'. It also was voted 9th for 'Best Romance in the World'.

  •  1.5 acres property is wider at the beach end affording good views from all villas. Located on the western side of Aitutaki.
  •  8 Polynesian style villas: 2 absolute beachfront, 2 beachfront, 2 Pool Lagoon Ocean View, and 2 Lagoon Ocean View. Maximum 3 guests per villa.
  •  Approximately NZ$425 to NZ$495 per villa per night (2 people), including tax, airport transfers & tropical breakfast. Discounts for 5-10 night stays.

Meals and Dining

Tropical breakfast is included in the rates. The villas are complete with kitchen and cooking facilities and local stores are not too far away. Restaurants are also available should you wish to dine out.

Activities and Sightseeing

The villas are right on the beach facing the sunset. All the wonderful activities offered by Aitutaki are available.

  • Swim, or relax on the beach right in front or at the property's landscaped pool.
  • Complimentary kayaks, bicycles and snorkelling gear are at your disposal. Hire cars and motorbikes can be organised for you at extra cost.
  • Take a lagoon cruise and enjoy snorkelling and a picnic on a deserted islet.
  • Take a sunset cruise on Aitutaki lagoon.
  • Take a guided tour of Aitutaki Island, visiting historical landmarks, ancient sacred sites known as 'marae', villages and the World War Two track.
  • Meet the local people of Aitutaki for a memorable understanding of the culture and traditions.
  • Go fishing for wahoo, mahi-mahi, yellow fin tuna and perhaps a marlin!
  • Go scuba diving on the outer reef no more than about 10 minutes away.
  • See giant clams and baby sea turtles at the Ministry of Marine Resources research station (weekdays only).
  • In the evening, hunt for deliciously tasty land crabs.
